Speedo problem after transmission JDM trans swap
2002 Honda Accord EX
Swapped MAXA trans with MCJA it’s come to my attention after the swap that the MCJA has slightly different gear ratios and I can feel and see the issues as well.
around 3rd gear it shifts hard and the RPMS are higher than they originally were. The Speedo is fine at low speeds but highway speeds like 80MPH are really 70MPH.
When I swapped I had to change two sensors to be compatible it was the speed sensor and something else. My issue is, I know different gear ratios can cause this problem but would there be a way to adjust the PCM with these new gear ratios? It’s a bit annoying.
