Re: j's Racing intake replica (rough_draft)
if i were you spend the $$$ and get a APEX-i filter, well worth it. Better flowing then a K&N with better filteration and no oil to get in the intake

price tag.. and wieght.. (negligible)
you don't have the bling factor..
I had issues with the filter rubbing on the hood.. and the arm rubbing against the bottom of my upper strut tower bar

just use it until they get dirty and time to replace.
filter's filter.. it will give you little difference but nothing major.
if i were u i'd just use it till it's garbage and get K&N replacement later

not everybody has a lot of money and can just afford $270 for an intake. While most of us might be able to we should not put down others for it. He got almost the same exact thing but without the bling, I really don't see a problem.

2 great reasons...
and if u say there is a power difference, I got 123whp/106 on my DOHC with just bolt on and that was a baseline run.....I could still tune it up a bit I'd assume...

I'd be more concerned with filtering ability than performance....chances are, if it lets more air in, it also lets more dirt in....dirt = bad.
