Default Radiator Hose Blew, Need Help

Yes, I'm a tech newbie (flame suit on).

Anyway, my upper radiator hose blew yesterday, I was able to get home before I overheated.

I got a new hose, trimmed it, and installed it.

I then filled up with the proper coolant/water mixture and started the car.

For a minute it idled fine and then it began jumping from about 1500rpm-2000rpm.

RJ says I need to bleed air out of the system but his methods were very cryptic.

I'd like to be able to drive tonight but this isn't an emergency or anything so I'd appreciate any help I can get.

The car is a '91 Accord DX Auto.

Run the car with the cap off
& make sure you put the right amt of coolant

My radiator blew over the summer & my friends and I changed & installed a new radiator.

When we finished, we ran coolant in, started the car and filled more coolant with cap off. The air runs through bubbling through the opening. This is what we did on my car. Havent had trouble since.

Just tried that.

Car started fine, cold idle was around 1800rpm but it kept gaining. Around 2200rpm it almost felt/acted like there was a fuel cutoff and it would drop to about 1500rpm and go back up to 2500rpm, drop again, go up again, etc.

Dunno, I may just have to call AAA to come out and tow it

edit: I'll play with it more with Mr. RJ tomorrow before doing so.
