Default Oil lines mounted on firewall...basic walkthrough

Hello-

I have been getting a few IMs regarding my original thread on the oil lines mounted on the firewall thread:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=377208

I thought I would update the forum with a part number from McMaster for a 1/8" BSPT male to a -4AN male union fitting. The part number is 4545K151

I hope this helps

Seb

Edit - forgot to mention... the lines I speak of in that thread (4468k401) have an ID of 3/16 (-3AN equivalent) but the fittings accept 7/16-20 threads (-4AN equivalent)

Scroll down please

note to self....
1/8" NPT male - 1/8" BSPT female
4092k26

1/8" BSPT male - 1/8" NPT female
4092k11

Addendum: there is an error on my part, props to FwdCivicHatch for pickin it up... the BSPT male to NPT female has the correct part number above (4092k11) and incorrect part number throughout the writeup

Thanks!

here is another picture of the tee on the firewall. Note a plug in the rightmost position. This is for the addition of an aftermarket oil pessure sender in the future.

NOTE: its the tee with the green loop holding it up. The other tee is the result of yesterday's boredom. The wac lines use brass tees instead of plastic ones

I got them from mcmaster.com

search for teflon hose..i got the stainless steel ends. Get the male union to male union, with 1/16th inner diameter.

Nice work man. Oil lines are probably the most overlooked on a turbo setup but htey can cost you if they are done wrong.

Nice bracelet.

For you poor guys, their brass teflon hoses are cheaper and work just as well, and you can save another few bux by going with the npt male on one end and JIC swivel on the other. Like I did. Crimping your own lines is a pain in the butt. Its easier to just buy some like these!

Bump for an informative post!

No reason to over spend on this stuff. Unless you need more bling.

whats is bspt and why do you need it? my greddy kit used all 1/8npt and they went in to the block and the oil sensor plugged in fine. So why would you need the special bspt if the 1/8 npt fits fine?

Also whats the difference between getting hose with male couplings and hose with male union couplings?

Just wondering before i order parts.

I cant seem to find the screenshot of the final cost... but with the brass fittings instead of SS i remember it being around 45 bucks.

What do you mean? What are you referring to? I think you might be mistaking the oil pressure sender with the injector
