How do you replace front speakers in a 98 Accord Sedan?
The grill just doesn't pop out the way it does on my 98 Prelude. Do i have to remove the whole door panel to do this?

you need to take out the whole thing(i have 02 accord coupe).
I just change my stock one with sony's three ways speakers.
the way to take out the panel is easy..
if you have no idea how to pop the panel do the right side first.
since is simpler and if you fu_k sh_t up you wont do it again in the
left side which you gonna see everything you drive.
1)take out the mirror cover..side and pull.)
2)take out the screw on the handle
3)pop the screw cover thingie on the door lock thingie.
slide the whole locking part back.
4)screw off the locking ****.(counter-clock.)
5)start from the bottom pull the panels out.
there should be 6-10 tabs.
6)disconnect the door lambs on the bottom
7)disconnect the power line to the window switches.
slide the door panel up and take it away.
hint.
dont loose the screw cover thingie.
put the window down all the way before starting the installation.
the left side is little bit harder but is piece of cake after you done
with right side.
any questions?

Great.
In case people want in on this, the Civic coupe from 98-00 had an upgrade available from Honda accessories, which was basically a better speaker than OEM. It is on sale for $30 shipped for the pair. I figure can't be that bad, and some fellow Preluders have replaced their speakers and noticed a significant difference with these.
I am not saying they are better than aftermarket speakers, but they are certainly better than OEM, especially as a replacement for the component paper woofer, and they are made by Pioneer.
THanks again for the help.

I think pioneer makes most all honda speakers right now. The ones in my 99 ex were. and FWIW, they don't like to get 50watts rms
