Re: Horsepower question about the zc 1.6 sohc vtec engine (ce)
actually the US version which is the d16z6 is rated at 125, the ZC sohc vtec which is a 1.5 is rated at 135 horsepower...not 125. There are a butt load of zc's out there and its quite confusing to remember all of them and their hp ratings. This engine drops right in to a 92-95 civic ex or si.

yeah. there is a 1.6l Sohc Vtec in 92-95 civic si's in Usa and Some Ex models.
D16 is good for Na or turbo. N/a you can add the pistons from the japanesse Zc 1.6L Dohc for some high compression. Add a b16a throttle body to the Intake manifold, Skunk2 is coming out w/ a cam for that motor. Or if turbo is your thing..get a Greddy for ~1,600 :run like 6psi and put down some fairly good Hp.
