Possibly it could be a clogged catalytic converter.

Yea, a bad/broken cat....lazy O2(s)....in need of a tune up....and a host of other things.

It would be nice to at least narrow down what year/engine it is. And any other helpful information (CEL is on, just had this work done, ect).

the cat has been replaced, o2 sensor is still good, tune up has been done recently

its a 94 accord f22b1 engine, no check engine light

recently replaced:
the cat
spark plugs
spark plug wires
distributor
cleaned out throttle body
changed fuel filter( filter was clogged completely)

the acceleration problem started after filling up the gas tank and it got worse when i refilled it again like a week later

another thing the car did completely didnt want to turn on once after running it after about half hour wont turn on again until about 3 hours of letting cool down

once thing i did notice a noise coming from the gas tank

I'm having the same problem with my accord 96 AT, if the engine is cold the acceleration is very good it feels like it came fresh from the factory but when I drive it around for 30 mins there is hesitation to run it feels like its crawling up hill. spark plug are new, oil changed, transmission oil changed, fuel injectors cleaned, belt are all changed, all break pads are new and wheels do rotate freely. what could it be? I went to honda dealer and told me they could not find the answer to my problem. any help please! Thanks

A few things, check your ignition timing, it might be off. Buy, borrow, or steal (I won't recommend this option) a timing light and check it out.
Also check the TPS and MAP sensor for any problems.
