Poll: New Car Soon, GSR or 240SX
Getting another car soon and came down to two choices that come to my interest. VTEC or SKIDS?
*Both Cars WILL be stock, rebuilding is going to be a solution to that*
94-01 INTEGRA GSR B18C1
OR
89-93 240SX Hatchback SOHC/DOHC? KA24/DE
I will be rebuilding the engine 100%. Planning to Turbo charge the GSR or maybe ITB's. For the 240, most likely a SR20DET swap. HELP ME PICK, I believe both cars are great when it comes to performance, but they're so great, I'm at a roadblock of decision on what to choose. HELP MEEEEE.

Re: Poll: New Car Soon, GSR or 240SX
I've owned both. My 240 had a SR20 swap way back when people were like "SR20 wtf?"
The advantage of Hondas is that they are usually faster in about every way when compared to their counterparts.
GSR's are slow. But Ka24 240's are PAINFULLY slow. I did manage a 15.3 quarter mile with my single cam SE hatchback (one of the heaviest models) with a filter and exhaust, however. The same car ran an unexpectedly fast 13.3 with the SR on like 7psi (my swap didn't come with the stock 11psi boost controller :'( ). It was going to go faster...but then I snapped my drive shaft :'(
The OBVIOUS advantage of the 240 is RWD.
Downsides are reliability of a 20++ year old turbo engine with a 3.75 quart (wtf) oil capacity that's probably been ragged on for its whole life.
The GSR is simple and reliable and faster off the bat. But it's FWD and a lot more boring than a 240.
My ITR was more exciting than my 240...but a GSR will never be an ITR no matter how hard you try.
Buy a S2000. Go to a track. It's 100% better than either.
If you can't afford a S2000, buy a NB chassis miata with the factory LSD package. It's way more fun than a 240 or an integra...and they're cheap. Also extremely slow. IIRC, my friend ran a 15.4 in a 6spd 10th anniversary edition with intake/exhaust.

Re: Poll: New Car Soon, GSR or 240SX
FN01R-C's are ugly. Lol. But I was 16 when I bought the car and like 21 when I bought a S2000 and sold the 240.
I started buying Hondas after my mom bought me an EF when I was 17 to use as a winter car. The 240 was fun in winter....but it was a rust free GA car and I wanted to keep it that way.

Re: Poll: New Car Soon, GSR or 240SX
They're scarce everywhere. That's part of what makes them better. I think there were 3500ish USDM ITR's. Lots were stolen, wrecked, or ruined. I bought mine 99.9% stock. Then I took it to the race track a bunch of times. Then modded it. Then tracked it more. ITR's are fun.

Curious, is an ITR in any way like an S2000 in terms of handling?
I recently drove an AP2 and fell in love. Any way you turn the wheel, the car just goes there..like right away lol. No sluggishness or anything, just goes (I'm sure you know). Does the ITR feel the same way?
