What's wrong with my car now.
A block away from my house I smelled coolant. I parked at my house and see coolant dropping out of my car. I opened the hood and coolant was coming out of my overflow tank. Air was coming out of the overflow tank hose. I checked my oil and it appears not to have coolant mixed with it. I topped it off let the car run and it I started to check if there was pressure in the coolant by squeezing the upper and lower radiator hose. It appears that pressure isn't building. Any insight on. My situation? 94 accord LX non v 5 speed.

Here's a mini update. I topped off the coolant and drove for half an hour. The temp was normal but I still have no pressure in the hose...

Thanks for the advice. I told one of my friends and he said the same thing. He's actually getting it for me as we speak. I'm at work and parts stores will be closed. Thanks for the info. I'll update tomorrow.

Mine was missing the middle piece too where you see that crud ring. I was just happy it happened to me close to home instead of on my trip to jersey for Honda Day

I know you have been good since replacing the cap. Just a little word of caution: make sure to double check you have all the air out of the coolant system. Since you had to replace some fluid, you might end up inadvertently getting an air bubble in there, which could cause you problems. Since you aren't having any trouble right now, then you are probably OK, but I would double check...

yes - definitely purge your coolant at the thermostat housing while car is running - crack open the bolt for 60 seconds or so - its a 10mm bolt with a breather/nipple on it
