I used the password JDM style ones for a while on my Civic. I really only did it because the car goes on a trailer and I had to remove the bumper to get on.

If you use a style like this that uses an "O-Ring" to secure the two panels, I would recommend using a zip tie in place of the rubber ring when on track. I never had any issues even with a few off track adventures the bumper never cam off or loose.

Plus one for the above fasteners... I too have to remove my front bumper while loading and unloading the car on my trailer.
I believe SPMS still sells them too, its where I got my set from.

I've been thinking about these because my bumper is missing the clips on the side. This will fix that, correct?

Yes, in the photo above I did not have any bumper clips on the side. only the oem bolts in the front.

We used latches for ours. I like it better then the passwordJDM ones, as I've seen a few people have issues with them. We got these latches at Racer Parts Wholesale, if memory serves me correctly they were like $5 bucks for the pair.

I Installed Dzus fasteners on my other race car, is that what you’re asking about?

As far as being legal I don't see why not

They are a pain to install (like everything)

Reyes, Do you remember how much that style ran you? My clips are all gone as well and this would kill two birds with one stone.
