Default 1994 Civic DX Radiator Fan Shutting Off

Howdy.

I have a 1994 Civic DX that has been overheating while idle. From a cold start this morning I let it idle up to normal operating temperatures. It took a while but eventually the radiator fan kicked on. I turned on the AC and both fans ran for a few minutes, and then the radiator fan kicked off. From there the temperature continued to rise without the radiator fan turning back on.

As far as I can tell, this is an issue with the coolant temperature sensor, correct? Is there anything else that could be causing the fan to short out?

Thanks for any advice.

How do you come to the conclusion the fan is shorting out? How do you figure sensor? What about the radiator or even the radiator cap? And the AC fan should have absolutely nothing to do with the cooling system.

It doesn't sound like you checked much of anything.
