Metal in engine oil?

I found metal in my 2005 honda accord lx engine oil. I found it first in April. I changed it a second time hoping it'd go away and this is a picture of what I found. There were maybe 5 to 7 flecks like this. I have 103,000 miles on it.
What do I do? Should I trade this one in before it stops running and get a new car? Or keep moving forward with this one?
It doesn't make any noise. I am trying to pay off a huge amount of student loans so I don't really want to have to buy a new car yet

I once found sand in my oil. Couldn't figure out why. It must be the wind blowing while I let it all drip out.
You may want to consider this. Get your oil analysis done by Blackstone. Look for the website. I think it's like $30. If Blackstone found excessive oil in the analysis, it's not something you can feel or photograph like this.
If it's something big like that (pic), I would think would you have engine failure of some sort already.
How is your MPG? Is it normal? Try measure that next. If you are still getting 25-30PMG combined (not sure what is norm for you), then ?????. If you are getting 10-15MPG then something major is wrong and I would sell the car.

What about oil filter? Just wondering. Have you been using the same brand? Were they purchased at the same time? Try a different brand. Maybe that batch of filers were bad?
