2011 CRV Door Lock Malfuncation… actuator?
Hi!
I just started having issues with my 2011 CR-V door locks. Of course, just out of warranty
After hours of googling, I started thinking it was the actuator. But now I'm not so sure.
My rear passenger door will not unlock/lock with the key fob. However, I can manually unlock it with no problems. Whatever I set it to manually, it will stay at. Not a HUGE issue. The part that confuses me is the tailgate door. I am unable to open the tailgate door. But, when I manually unlock the rear passenger door, I'm able to open the tailgate. It makes no sense!
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: 2011 CRV Door Lock Malfuncation… actuator?
Hello,
Sounds to me like the door locking interface may be faulty, or you may have a broken wire in the door to pillar wiring loom. Personally I suggest you play your face with Honda and state you would not have expected a 3 year old motor to start causing troubles like this and see what they say.
Rgs,
Kev

So, if the rear passenger door is still locked, the tailgate is not suppose to be able to be open. It probably is due to a bad actuator at the rear passenger door causing the tailgate issue too.
