So do you think it was simply the valve crapped out or another issue ? I must say you are DAMN lucky there isn't any bottom end damage .

You know im not sure at this moment. Cyl 2-3-4 plugs are ok and not showing anything crazy.
I have always ran 7 plugs, and never had an issue but one could say i am running too hot of a plug. Will be switching to 8's.
I also tested all my injectors and they were all even so can't say it was a clogged injector.
Just not too sure at the moment.

those skirts look great for that ptw!
glad to see/hear it was just the valve. are you monitoring egt?
i would certainly change to an 8 heat range at your power level

Best race ive ever had. This VW Golf currently has the record in the Mile (208mph).
We raced the day before my car broke in Texas.
You can see 2nd gear spun so hard it just smoked the tires... I was not sure if id catch him, traction at this track sucked so bad!

I second the egt suggestion.
I figured you would already be doing that with a car that is being forced to put up with all that heat!
I am curious about egt readings during the traction ctrl engaging...
Glad its not that bad! You said the cyl was full of coolant earlier... Did the head lift you think? How does the gasket look? Was is copper sprayed?
20 questions lol

Chris Frank at Frankenstein Heads is the best when it comes to welding/fixing heads. I would give him a call.
Sorry for the luck man, the car is a beat though!

I'd say, all in all, the motor did just fine. Better quality parts in the head and you're golden. Do it all the same again. lol
Want to make me a diffuser for my Integra? I'll consider sending my wing....

My opinion is that the valve seat being as hard as it is and the 6000 series valve couldn't hand the deformation with the high heat and high rpm's. It was the weaker of the two.

I had a friend that owned a 240sx with a sr20det in it #1 spark plug exploded and did similar damage.

Congrats to English racing! Just watched the last 15min of airstrip attack in Colorado springs, on CET a local channel. They were name dropping you guys left and right. I could not make it out, but I was excited to see it on the local channel. I have the reminder set to watch the entire show. I hope to see you guys out next year!
