Re: The Little integra that could, that no longer can! :(
I am not sure it dropped a valve now that i have the spark plug...
Porcelin is missing off the plug and 1/2 the tip is gone. Guess Severe detonation would be my guess... May have melted the head/torched it...
Going to have that injector tested ETC... Either way ghey haha.
For a car to run so good for so long then have an issue like that, gotta look into it.

Sorry to here that man. I'm putting that TC you sold me in this weekend. Crazy awesome you still won that race with that R8. Something about honda's taking out 100k cars is badass, that David and Goliath factor. Good luck on the rebuild bro

She had a great run and a lot of publicity!
Set the bar for roll race events IMHO, nice work bro!
In the vid there is audible misfires....3rd and 4th.... Or was it traction Ctrl working in 4th?

That track sucked and didn't hook for **** imo.
It was bumpy in 4th and 5th which wasnt helping.

Head is a little smoked... Not sure if head can be fixed/welded. I know there is a place we have sent these heads in the past and had them fixed... Guessing this one will be reparable.
Block and piston look great! No problems there.
Exhaust wheel on the turbo needs rebuilt but that's easy enough.

Pulled the piston today. She looks good.
Rings are still good and have tension, hooks on 2nd ring is still good. Im putting this back in how it is!

I would be most concerned about the root cause . Just a theory here , perhaps large amounts of timing being pulled via the traction control sent the Egt's soaring thus burning the exhaust valve . You did say you were having lots of traction issues .

These were Ferrea 6000 series, so whatever they are. Ive been told for what im doing they may be not cool enough for what i am doing but i could be wrong...
PTW is 5.5-6.. I had the pistons made for my bore premature... so PTW is looser than we normally shoot for at my shop.

Glad to see you get lucky with minimal damage. Just wondering what did you set your ring gaps to including the oil ring gaps??

I remember that my ring gaps ended up being what they were. No filing needed.
Top was like 19-20, 2nd was like 22-24 and i can't remember the other one.
