The Little integra that could, that no longer can! :(
It has been a REALLY hard year for my car...
I have done 4 1/2 mile events, 2 Roll race events and quite a few 1/4 mile events on street tires along with about 4k miles of street abuse and she finally let go...
I haven't taken it apart yet but should be back from Texas on Wednesday... Expecting the worst.. Sounds like it dropped a valve to me, and cylinder is full of coolant.
Car will be back together by next October's 1/2 mile event in Cali... Hoping BISI comes out jk jk...
Here is a nice video of me about to smoke a Twin Turbo R8 (we raced from a dig) before it happened right about 8400 in 5th gear... guess i still crossed the line 1st tho haha.
She will be back!

5th gear pulls are no joke.. A LOOOOOOOTT of heat builds up. Amazing it held up this long.. Especialy i you are on stock valves.
What valves were you using and do you know your AFR in the higher revs in 5th?

Pretty sure he was using the ferrea 6000 series valve. Time to setup to the big dog valve train parts...,

Yeah best mph still 187... Track wasnt hooking so well... I went same mph on 26psi as i did on 33 if tat tells ya anything lol.
That pass was at 27psi... happened right at about 8500rpm in 5th.
I did have Ferrea 6000 series valves and Supertech springs with seat pressure set at 95psi...
Its unfortunate but to be honest the car has seen a year of some serious abuse lol

Damn, well the car has seen some great action this year, so I expect to see it come out even better!
Time for the Comp Plus valves!

You can HELP prevent that with a good valve spring and a valve that can take the heat. 6000s are very strong valves from a tensile strength perspective, but when they distort from heat in a turbo application they cool and stay distorted. The super alloy valves have memory, so when they cool they will return to their original shape the best they can. They eventually will need replaced also with a lot of heat abuse, but it will really extend the life of the head. Just my $.02

I deff plan to run Ferrea springs/retainers and Better valves this next time around.
I had a stock port head last time too, might need to see what 4-Piston has for head options .

I am not sure it dropped a valve now that i have the spark plug...
Porcelin is missing off the plug and 1/2 the tip is gone. Guess Severe detonation would be my guess... May have melted the head/torched it...
Going to have that injector tested ETC... Either way ghey haha.
For a car to run so good for so long then have an issue like that, gotta look into it.
