Default Single cam finally ran 10's

After a few years with my car , hit 10.95 on my single cam with 407 whp

My 60 fts are bad, high 1.78-1.80, got skunk2 drag coilovers and launching at 6500

Trap speed was 134, need advice to improve my times, Im using 24.5x8.5x13 slicks

Thinking about the kingping suspension, please share your improvements if you got kingpin setup

Are you running boost by gear or any kind of boost control? Alignment good? Corner balanced? What slick setup? Should be able to cut a 1.6 and get a lil deeper in the 10s.

Im running 24.5x8.5x13 at 6.5 psi, skunk2 drag suspension and yes corner weigthed and good alignment, I was launching at 7200 and ran 11.10 the lowerd to 6800 and ran 11.01 and on the last past launch at 6500 and hit the 10.95,

I want to try 6000 rpm launch to see if I can improve the 60 fts, and yeah , running boost by gear, low boost on 1st, medium on 2nd and full boost on 3rd and 4th gear.

Do you preload on the e-brake or a staging brake?

With 400 hp you can probably raise the boost to damn near full all the time. My car makes 380 and I have a manual boost controller and 23" slicks. Full boost all the time no problems. 1.65 60's. I started breaking **** before i got it really dialed in, but it never spun. (Maybe part of my problem )

23" slicks might help...d-series gearing sucks...a si trans = ls gearing....24.5" slicks arent really needed till north of 500 and even then i know several mid to high 10 d's running 23's. you gain some gearing back, not alot but every little bit helps. 23"s are a little nicer on the drivetrain also, a little spin in first is good...well good for your diff and axles anyway

also dial your bbg at the track while on slicks. start at full boost in first and dial it back till it stops spinning. do this threw all gears till your not spinning. then reset your settings if you have it set for street tires

edit: and congrates on 10s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, I have a staging brake, and running on autozoneaxles, with no issues at all,

I can see what you say about 23 slicks, but Im pretty sure it will spin more than the 24.5 , but maybe Im wrong,

Crossing the line at 7300 rpms on 4th gear, cant wait for my longer first gear and 4.7 fd

BTW let me tell you guys that the prepp on my local track sucks, but I will take the car to Edinburg TX next week , they do better prepp on the track that here in Mexico in my city

How do you see my trap speed vs et vs whp ????

If you stick with 24.5's the 4.7 might be ok, (haven't done the math) but with 23's it will be too short of a transmission.

This is my car. Slicks were 24.5x9 mh, made 457whp to be exact. With this kind of power or even to 500whp, the ex/si tranny is perfect. My rev limiter was at 8500, launched at 7k with 8psi off the line. I was cutting 1.7, not the best but good enough for 10yrs+ bushing. I was on blox drag coil overs.
