97 Honda Accord Power Windows stopped working
So I just recently bought a 97 Honda Accord LX Coupe and after about a week or so my windows stopped rolling down. Before, they were rolling up and down somewhat slow but never thought much of it till they stopped working. After some time looking i found that the guy who previously had it had jerryrigged it so that the cooling fan relay was wired with the power window relay, so basically both were running off of one relay. The way i found this was that my radiator fan stopped working. So I ended up replacing the cooling fan relay but i couldnt find the power window relay at my local AutoZone. However, after looking at some threads on here I found a suggestion to just use the cooling fan relay on the Power Window relay to see if that would be the problem so i tried it and they still didnt work. I checked all the fuses and they checked out fine. Is there a difference between the two relays that made the power windows not work with the cooling fan relay? also what else should i check? this is my first car so im barely learning the ropes with cars with this one.
Thanks for any and all suggestions!

haha what a mess. It sounds as if you have burned up the window switch on the driver door. with the added resistance of the slow and sticky window it puts more strain on the switch. I have had this issue myself

Lol it really is just one big mess. But there is a universal power relay over at the local auto shop, would that work for the power window relay? or do i need to purchase on from like the dealer?

I usually go to the junkyard and find one that works. It should get the window back up, but if its super slow you will want to look at new window motors
