Hi guys,
New to the forum but have had lots of Hondas. My latest is a 2009 Accord Cpe 4 cyl auto.
It has about 80k on the clock and when I turn on the rear defrost I get lots of static on the radio.

Has anyone seen this type of thing before?

I have, the defrost and radio antenna are ran thru the rear window and if something connects the two it will cause this condition.

yes. this is common when there is a break in the defroster grid. Older models had a simple grid set up that allowed you to narrow the break with an ohmeter. Now the grids are not only to complex to check continuity but they arent repairable. You need a rear glass.

maybe it will get vandalized in the middle of the night. insurance covers that right?
