Almost 190mph, went 187.34mph 1/2 mile. 10,026rpm 5th gear! Hondata TC doin work!
So i got all the Aero done on my car and took it back to the same place i went 182.xx mph last time.
First pass of the day, went 173 on 19 psi in 4th/5th which was quite surprising based on the boost level. At that point i knew the the Aero was working. At the end of that pull, i noticed my battery light was on and not charging. Quick diag said the Alternator was gone. Off to search for one.
Found a SOHC one at a local Napa. Took the guts out of it and tossed them in my car and i was back in the game.
First pass after alternator, 184.xxmph! Beat my old mph record by 2mph at 2psi less boost. I bounced off the rev limiter at 9800rpm right at the end of the run. I knew it was a better pass based on the rpm i was at!
That was the end of the first day, the temp got hot and wind was a little nuts.
Day 2. I decided if i needed to get a run in it was going to have to be in the morning. It was about 70 deg out, i left boost settings the same as the day before. Just upped the revlimit to 10200 rpm in 5th gear. Boost settings are: 8psi 1st, 15psi 2nd, 20psi 3rd, 28psi 4th and 5th. AFR's are mid t low 11's for this stuff.
Next pass i upped boost 2% duty. It got so warm i actually lost 1.5psi all around. Only went 185.xx. I decided to take off the stock GSR wing. Everything felt smooth.... Until i hit the brakes. HOLY BUTT PUCKER MOMENT. Ill tell you what that little wing does ALOT. As soon as i touched the brakes the car must have locked up in the rear and decided it wanted to come around me. 2 times i went sideways. Thankfully i was able to control it and not lose the car, but i can tell you i thought i was about to lose it.

A little more info on the pass, ECT starts out at 195.5 ends up at 190 at the end of the run. IAT starts out at 116 and ends at 104 on a 80+ degree day.
Deff plan to do a Drag wing on it for next time!
I did not run after that, based on temperature and what not it was not going to go any faster.
All in all it was a successful weekend. Car is 100% ok, nothing wrong with it and i still get to race it again soon. Keeping these cars together at this power for this long of a pull seems to be a challenge at times!
I would like to point out that the Hondata Traction control is ******* badass. Check out the video of my Tach/Speedo from a dead stop to 187mph...
I will also say the new V3 is pretty cool using the mobile app was nice, didn't have to break out the laptop to check the logs!

The only other honda to show up! There were 5 signed up, but some didnt make it. I talked to this guy, guess it runs 10.0@152/153mph. He had trouble putting power down on the slicks. IMO slicks only work on a prepped track. I think his best was 165mph but i can't remember.

So the real question everyone probably wants to ask, Do i think it has a 190 trap in it? YES i fully believe it does. I have 3-4psi more left in the car and i feel it will be able to do the 190 in the morning before it gets 90+...

First off, that is f*cking insane.
But what are your plans for more speed? Tires? Gearing? Gonna turn it 11k??
Also, that TC is ON POINT. You can hear it cut in, but it never stops the car from accelerating. Great job!

Great stuff ! Even the UGR cars are going to start fearing "that green Integra" soon.
Might be time to try a taller tyre, maybe a 26" drag radial ?

As of right now i am either going to do a 4.266 Final drive or just keep reving it higher.
I love the split with the ITR final drive, its about geared perfect. If i toss on a 26" all tire it will screw with the gearing too much and i dont want that.
I think i will need to turn about 10300-10400 rpm in the current state to trap the 190.
I will take a pic of the TC working, really all you see is a bunch of dips in timing tho lol

Congrats. Very cool to see you doing this.
Is this an ETS car or is that just a partner on the car? I was thinking about having them build the setup for my EVO. They seemed to be the most helpful so far.

great job 190,mph so close! then 200?!?
side note i drive my car on the streets with 26" slicks all the time and they def hold better than any radial tire out there.

My buddy came out last year and could only run 179.xx mph on 26" slicks. and his car traps 168 in the 1/4.... Even that other car, could not hook at all.

Do you do any post event inspections like valvetrain visual, leak down etc? I can't imagine whats going in there with sustained high rpm like that.

so do you think it would do better with a radial, assuming you dialed in the tc with the radials.

You know all you need to do to hit the mph you want. There is a guy who engineers and builds stuff south of you, I think he is located down in CA. He has a weird name, but obviously knows his stuff. You should partner up with him.
