MAINGEAR TEAMS UP WITH CLM MOTORSPORTS AND DELIVERS OFFICIAL MAINGEAR RACE CAR
Kenilworth, New Jersey – April 17, 2014 - MAINGEAR, an award-winning PC system builder offering custom desktops, notebooks, and workstations is bonding their love of high performance and street cred aesthetics to competitive drag racing with CLM MOTORSPORTS.
MAINGEAR and CLM Motorsports are proud to announce their partnership in forming the official MAINGEAR racing team. CLM MOTORSPORTS embodies everything that MAINGEAR stands for; only instead of a high performance gaming PC they are taking their love of high performance to tuned up cars. The new 2014 MAINGEAR racing car will be driven by Ricky Silva and is the first to be fully designed by the MAINGEAR team.
The official 2014 MAINGEAR race car is a monster Honda Civic that includes only the best components to maximize performance. The car houses highly modified Honda 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine that is running 50+ psi of turbo boost to produce 1000+ wheel horse power. This allows for the 2450lb car to propel to quarter mile times in the 8.7@178 range which is one of the top 10 in its class.
“When I founded MAINGEAR it was all based on my love for racing, cars, and achieving top performance through hard work, skill, and dedication.” Said Wallace Santos, CEO and Founder of MAINGEAR. “ This partnership a way for our worlds to intertwine with an official MAINGEAR drag racing car, merging the worlds of high performance racing, and high performance PC’s.”
“MAINGEAR computers allow us to make on the fly changes, the DynoJet is actually powered by a MAINGEAR computer which give us the speed and reliability that is required in our high speed fast pace world of drag racing.” Said Ricky Silva, CLM Motorsports.

Thanks for posting it. It was a very busy week leading up to Honda Day with prepping customer cars as well as getting my car ready. So i havent had much time to come on here.
For this coming season we have brought aboard Maingear as our title sponsor. They specialize in high performace gaming pc's.They build some pretty cool custom desk and laptops. Make sure you guys head over to Maingear.com and check them out.
We got a real positive reception from everyone at Honda Day about the new look of the car. Cant thank Wrap Specialties enough for the amazing job they did on the red chrome wrap.
We had a few issues at Honda Day preventing us from performing to our peak. From cracking charge pipes to a ignition misfire in round 1 of elims. But we will get it all fixed up and ready for Spring Nationals.
