Cruise Control Problem 2002 CR-V
It seems that the Cruise Control on 2nd Gen CR-V suffers from a glitch. Overheating, low battery voltage or Gremlins seem to make everyone's Cr-V with a cruise control cut out after 40-50 minutes. I have replaced the foot pedal control unit with a new OEM Honda one, but still cuts out after 40 minutes or so. Has anyone found out the definitive solution? I have read that even replacing the control unit and the actuator unit did not solve the problem. Thanks.

Re: Cruise Control Problem 2002 CR-V
Thanks for the suggestion. I have the Honda OEM manual that I obtained and downloaded from a former Honda Technician. I was just hoping somebody on the Forum had solved this problem before.
Does the Helms manual say anything about Cruise Control troubleshooting?

Re: Cruise Control Problem 2002 CR-V
I think I found the problem source. The intake rubber hose at the throttle body had a split under the big clamp. Maybe when I hit a small bump on the road with the cruise control engaged, the split opened just enough to overcome vacuum and turn off the cruise control. I repaired with silicon, but ordered a new one from Honda.
