wont go pat 4500rpm while driving
I have a 96 rs integra jump down to obd1 chipped and base mapped with a b20b was driving fine after I did the swap due to a rod knock to the original engine I had no problems with that motor and my ecu but after driving it for awhile I notice it wouldnt go past 4500 and will 2 step at that rpm range while driving cluster does read how fast I go and I also notice when the check engine light comes on the 2 step will deactivate and let me pass 4500 all I want but the 2 step wont engage at a complete stop like it supposed to do when the check engine light is on can anyone tell what could be the problem thank you any info will help

Before the check engine light comes on is when it when it it wont go past 4500 that is where my rev limiter is set up and engages while driving but as soon as my check engine light comes on my rev limiter is disengaged at a complete stop and while driving it will let me go past 4500 rpm while the check engine light is on

1.) you're a noob.
2.) you clearly didn't search the forums, which IF you read the forum rules, is what you're instructed to do before posting a new thread.
3.) that engine light is literally going to tell you the answer to this problem if you check the codes.

Stick either end of a paper clip in the holes of the blue 2-pin connector under the passenger side dash, turn car on, CEL will blink the codes (short vs long blinks is how you differentiate between the first and second digit). At least that's how you do it with a normal obd1 car, if you can't do it due to the swap then sorry I'm not more helpful lol.
