2004 Honda Civic DX HELP!
Hello Honda-Tech community I have a 2004 Honda Civic DX as the title states. I recently did the oil change before a big trip and we accidentally put to much oil into the car. The check engine light came on and it started to shake quite a bit between acceleration and also after reaching 60+ mph. The check engine light turned off for a while before it turned on again and started blinking. Now the car turns off on me and blinks the check engine light, the check oil light, and the check battery light before shutting off. It won't start up and when I do get it to start up it shakes a lot. It looks like the catalytic converter is heating up as well. I did drain most of the excess oil out of the car but it was a good 2-3 days before I had the chance to because I was no where around where I could do it. Does anyone have any idea what could possibly be the problem? Thanks in advance!

the excess oil probably caused oil pressure problem which caused by the check oil light to turn on and because you didn't bleed the excess oil and just kept on driving it. you probably then caused the excess oil to bleed into the cylinder block which caused the check engine light to turn on. this will also explain the shaking issue because the cylinder have oil in them, its probably causing the engine to misfire as a result.
you should try cleaning your cylinder blocks, spark plugs, and fuel injectors. see if that solves your problem.
