92 Civic SI NO CODES! NO START!! Stumped!!
Hey Everyone, Hope all is well. I have an issue with my 92 civic SI. As already stated, I'll tell you what happened.
1. Car just died, intermittent start next day, fully dead. Was running perfect.
2. Car threw no code with 2P paperclip trick. CEL light stays lit full-time.
3. I read 0 code = new ecu. I installed new ECU. No Go.
4. Threw a new MAP at it, no go.
5. I am getting almost 50 lbs PSI with fuel.
6. I am getting BRIGHT WHITE spark, all 4.
7. Timing belt lines up.
8. Fuel pump primes.
9. Relay clicks.
10. Fuel at the rail.
11. Plugs newer.
12. Wires newer.
13. Compression within normal values.
This car REALLY wants to start, but just wont. Without codes, I'm up the creek here. Im LOST!!!!
Also, this question has been ambiguous on the internet...and it seems NOBODY can answer this. IS there a scanner for OBD1 to plug into the 3pin, next to the 2 pin port to pull the codes since the Check Engine Light stays lit and gives me no codes. In other words, what is the other 3 pin port used for? I am out of ideas and anything could and would help.
Thank you everyone!!

Re: 92 Civic SI NO CODES! NO START!! Stumped!!
Steve,
Thanks for the reply. I did do the ether trick, it popped....then died.
I also took out my stethoscope and listened to all of the injectors and also did a visual. They are working.
What Im concerned with is why there's no codes. if an injector/s went, I guess it would have been a code 16, but again, no codes.

Re: 92 Civic SI NO CODES! NO START!! Stumped!!
ok lets go back to the basics on this your getting spark, your compression is good, and you add fuel(i.e.starting fluid) and it runs. sounds like your having a fuel issue. also obd1 systems are so basic unless its a hard fault like complete loss of a sensor a codes wont come up.

I would say get a new fuel filter and check flow at fuel rail. Are you checking pressure from filter or regulator?
