Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
Anyone have a suggestion of where I can download a reliable base map for my Hondata? I want to put it on my ecu and break my engine in before I get it tuned. I'd be willing to pay for it as long as it's worth it.

Also wondering if I can drive on a basemap to seat my piston rings? As long as I monitor A/F, correct? Doesn't a load on the engine help ?

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
So I went to test out my ecu and I can't connect to a laptop. It's a P06 converted to P28 with Hondata s300 v2. I installed the newest smanager software and drivers on 2 separate laptops running Windows 7. Not matter what I'm getting "drivers offline". My car gets power and the key is turned to on. The laptops don't even notice I'm plugging in the USB cord. My VTEC solenoid isn't installed yet so I'm not sure if that affects anything but so far both laptops will not recognize that I'm plugging in a USB device. Any suggestions?

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
Found out some of my harness was unplugged and now I'm online. Next order of business is TPS sensor. I am supposed to have it @ .5 volts closed and 4.5 volts open. I have an after market throttle body. I tried adjusting it for the last half an hour and could not get under 1-2 volts closed. What can I do?

Update: Got it calibrated finally. Not sure what I did different this time but the readings were good. Grabbing some heater hose and vacuum line and then it's fluids.

She's alive! Started up without a problem. Threw a couple codes and had a rough idle but she runs. Sent a datalog to my tuner, hopefully he can get me a better map now

Anyone know if there's an actual difference between a mac boost controller and Hondata brand? I think I lost my solenoid and may have to order a new one

Took a break from the electrical HELL today and finally installed my charge piping and most vacuum lines. Going to have to readjust my charge pipe for more clearance. I ordered several silicone adapters to help raise bottom pipe above oil drain.
Here's what she looks like now.

To do list:
Replace oil pump
Install boost solenoid
Install axles
Fix code 20 (Electrical Load Detector)
Figure out how to reinstall wiper motor and wiring.
Inspection
Put car back together (bumper, fender, etc)
......Still a lot of work before dyno.

Update: Replaced oil pan gasket and noticed oil pump is leaking. Also got rid of two fittings and shortened my oil drain. Test fitted my bumper, needs to be cut to fit massive fmic. Slowly buy surely making progress.

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
Update:
Got a lot done on my "to-do list" and discovered something terribly wrong I noticed a coolant leak. For some odd reason my coolant is leaking from the head gasket at different parts of where the head meets the block. I used a brand new HONDA OEM 12251-P30-014 Head Gasket and reused what looked like new condition ARP head studs. All the head bolts were torqued to spec. Not sure what is causing the leak. It just slowly creeps out and drips down the block. This project is killing me.....
Anyone have any suggestions of a cause? Should I try a thicker cometic gasket? Should I get brand new ARP head studs? Anyone see this happen before?
My block is a obd1 usdm B18c1 and my head is a jdm B16a1. Is there possibly a different gasket I should use?
