Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
Decided to start a thread on my project. I call my car the turbo LSR because it is every type of Integra in one. LS shell, JDM front, ITR tranny, GSR block etc.
Engine so far:
Block: Darton sleeves stock bore, Eagle H beam rods, Wiesco Pistons around 8.6-9:1, stock crank, arp rod bolts, Moroso oil pan,
Head in progress: ordered Manley race flat valves and springs/retainers, hopefully getting some skunk2 tuner 1 cams, Blox intake manifold, hondata gasket, aftermarket throttle bottle (forgot whay kind but it's bigger than stock)
Fuel system so far: Walbro 255, Injector dynamics 1000cc , after market fuel rail (forgot brand but bigger than stock), aem fuel pressure regulator
Turbo setup: Garrett/Precision hybrid GT3076R, synapse bov, tial wastegate, 2.5" charge piping, Vibrant 550 FMIC, lovefab ram horn manifold
I bought my block built already, got a good deal on it. There's more to list but I can't think of the brand names off the top of my head!

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
I bought the complete longblock already sleeved and built bottom end for under $3000. If it was me who built it from scrach it would have been bigger and higher compression. I don't pass up deals! I dont make a whole lot of money either. Im working 3 jobs to build it right now lol. Ill post more pics soon. I just had that one on my phone.

Here are some links for pictures. There's way too many to post one at a time. These are from last year with my setup that yielded me 330 WHP at 10 psi on e85. I will be using the same setup just with a new, fully built engine.

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
So here's what I'm looking at ordering to finish up my car within my budget : Competition stage 5 "x" clutch (decided a twin disc is too much for how often I'll be on the street and it's out of my budget), Walbro 400 LPH fuel pump and I'm upgrading wiring, AEM water/methanol injection kit, Hondata S300, AEM fuel pressure regulator and probably some misc ****. Should have my head finished by next week and I will post some more pictures.

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
I'm currently running ID1000 injectors and a walbro 255. I am upgrading my Walbro to a 400. I recently came across a great deal on ID2000's and I was thinking of getting them. Was wondering if that is overkill? I'd rather have my injectors not maxed out if possible and I'm assuming at 500+ WHP those ID1000 will be working hard...

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
I was curious if it's worth buying Driveshaft shop level 0 axles? They are supposed to be stronger than OEM according to them. Or should I stick with my oem axles until I can afford some level 2.9 or 3.9 axles/hub kit ? I've never experienced 500+ horse power but I am assuming my stock axles won't last very long. I don't plan on putting on drag slicks and launching everyday although at some point I would like to run it in a 1/4 mile.

Maybe I'll just get some lifetime warranty axles from a local automotive supply when my old stock ones go lol. At least until I can afford to get the higher level ones

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
I may be running into a problem or concern. When we were checking out the bottom end of my B18c1 block we noticed the oil squirters were missing. I picked some up from a B16 and tried to put one in. We turned the crank and it hit the squirter =-(
Because of this I went online and looked at Honda/Acura dealership oem parts. The B16a2 oil squirters have a different part number compared to the B18c1. I ended up ordering some brand new squirters from a dealer and they by just glancing at them without taking them out of the package or testing them, they looked the same! Usually a different part number means a different part or slightly different.
If I install a new GSR one and have the same issue I will be concerned as to why my crank is hitting them.
My questions are: Is it possible whoever built the bottom end did something wrong? OR, how can I check if this is in fact an LS crank rather than a GSR crank?
If it is an LS crank I will just get some oil plugs form golden eagle and call it a day, although I hope I won't have to do that.

Man U FTW
Get the oil squirter plugs...the oil squirters are designed for use with factory pistons, which you no longer have. At this point, the squirters are a controlled oil leak and only serve to rob oil pressure....plug 'em

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
Should of asked before I spent $80+ on new squirters! My tuner told me they help cool down the pistons but I don't need em. I for sure don't want to lose oil pressure, I want my VTEC to SCREAM!!!

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
So what's everyone's opinion on boost by gear? I'm trying to figure out how small of a wastegate spring to go with. Should I go with the lowest boost pressure possible? I believe it's around 4 psi and then let my tuner work from there with electronic boost control? I want traction and to able to launch good. I have several springs laying around I could use although the lowest is about 7 psi.

I'm guessing you're using a TiAL 38mm waste gate ?
I'd say get some 15x8 wheels up front with 225-255 ra1's or another R-compound tire of your choice, s300's have a launch control setting pair that with a good tires and an LSD(do you have one ?) and you're set.

Re: Slickademo Swagniello's Turbo LSR
So I am almost ready to bolt my transmission onto my engine (pics coming soon) and have some flywheel questions. I want to go with a stock flywheel. From the research I did I noticed Acura has 2 different part numbers for LS and GSR and Honda's part number for civic Si and del Sol are the same, yet different than the Acura ones. My buddy who is helping has like 4 stock B series flywheels sitting in his garage. How can I tell if it's compatible with my B18C1 bottom end? Thanks!
