Front suspension noise

Front suspension noise
I have been hearing this rattling noise from my front driver side suspension, mainly when going over bumps. I replaced all 4 struts, strut top mounts, and sway bar end links. The noise went away when steering straight but when turning up a drive way i hear a tapping. I know its not my axle. It does make the noise when i have a passenger in the rear on a straight road. Any help would be appreciated. 2001 civic lx

Re: Front suspension noise
Jack up your front end, grab your wheel and give it a wiggle to check for excess play (12 and 6 o'clock for balljoint, 9 and 3 o'clock for tie-rod). The noise up a curb sounds very ball-joint.

Re: Front suspension noise
Okay, thanks for your response. Ill check that today. I also noticed i can hear a light tapping noise when i turn the wheel in a stopped position. Any chance this could be the upper spring insulator?

Re: Front suspension noise
I'm not sure.. I never had an issue with insulators. Did you change the insulator when you did the struts? The tapping noise with the passenger in the rear -- is it the same tapping noise that you have when pulling up a drive? Is it a tap tap tap tap, or more of a single *clunk*?
