the plugs on the left all look as if they will just hook together except one square one Ive read over all those schematics on wiring and the plugs are my hang up, I get what I have to do at the ECU with de pining and soldering so with the DX harnesses how many wires have to be cut and modified?

You've got your work cut out. You could run the 1.6 by swapping intake manifolds and use the DPFI. You'll still get gains and it's a much easier swap. I had good luck with that setup in a crx.
