Engine has no low end power

Re: Engine has no low end power
Only reason I ask is when I took out the old SI radiator it had what looked like a tranny cooler as well which obviously was not what it was, so is it for the AC? I smashed my front by plain stupidity and bald tires ( new ones were in the hatch) Traffic stopped dead for no apparent reason and by the time I noticed my tires were too bald to help me stop so I slid into a 2007 Honda Civic lol in front of a Honda dealership no less. Now Im piecing two civics to make one good one lol

Is the 'radiator' you're asking about half the height, same width, black, and placed in front of the actual radiator? If it is, then it should be for the ac system.

Re: Engine has no low end power
Hey guys tell me there is a trick to putting the engine back in ? should the drivers cv be out or in during the swap or can it be installed after? I cant get the engine far enough over to drop in the passenger engine mount ? and I can for the life of me get the bolts off to take the mount right off sooooo frustrating lol

Cv? What do you mean by a driver cv? Do you mean the driver side axel? If so, then put those in after the engine is in the car.
The easiest way I have put a d series into a car is as follows:
Lift the engine so it is level from the exhaust mani and the intake mani, let the tranny hang just a little lower than the engine.
Slide the tranny mount which is on top of the tranny into the bracket, put in the bolt.
Lower engine so side mount (the one the timing belt cover wraps around) into its bracket, put in bolt.
After that, put the bolts in the remaining front and rear mounts on the tranny.

Re: Engine has no low end power
I've always picked the motor up with a hoist. Drop the transmission side down much lower than the timing belt side. Get it under the passenger side and then rest the motor on a jack or something. Then I level it back out roughly in position. I put the rear mount in first, then the trans, then timing belt. I don't have a front mount though.
EDIT: I also take both axles out and istall them again the motor mounts are hooked up to the motor.

Re: Engine has no low end power
I tried to figure out how to get it out, but ran out of patience lol there is a pin or something holding it in and I didn't want to waist hours trying to figure it out lol

The shift linkage is attached to the tranny by a pin and c clip. Push back the rubber boot around it (if there is one there) pop off the clip, punch out the pin.
It's possible to get the engine in and out of the car either the linkage intact. I know because I've done it a few times.

If you do replace the pin with a bolt, put the bolt through the top of the linkage an not the bottom. I learned this the hard way at 60mph. Bolt came out and linkage hit the ground.

Re: Engine has no low end power
So since I swapped the motor instead of just the doing the dpfi to mpfi swap is there anything different as to the wiring that I have to do different ? meaning I have all the info Freemananana gave me to rewire but I want to make sure the procedure is still the same with a full engine swap ?

Re: Engine has no low end power
your gonna snap lol but the swaping of engines do I need to extend and switch the wires for the tps?
the plugs on the left all look as if they will just hook together except one square one Ive read over all those schematics on wiring and the plugs are my hang up, I get what I have to do at the ECU with de pining and soldering so with the DX harnesses how many wires have to be cut and modified?
