I am looking for anyone that has successfully swapped a h23a vtec blue top into a 2000 Honda accord manual. Please let me know I am going insane with this swap.

If you are just looking for people who have done that swap your best bet is to just do some searches. If you want advice from people that can help but haven't did that exact swap you should just post what you are using, what you have done, and your issues you've ran into and maybe someone can help.

Well this is what I have
-2000 Honda accord ex
-h23a vtec dohc blue top Japanese
-obd1 ecu p13
- stock harness from a 99 accord(current) and 00 accord

Problem
-coolant gauge doesn't work and would like it to be working.
I read that I need a cluster from a 99 because in 00 the switch the ecu to read to the coolant gaugerather than having a single sending unit
- with the p13 I have code 9 cel which is the cylinder position sensor

Need help with these two problems

I'm not too sure about the coolant gauge issue so I'll leave that to someone that is.

I assume you're using the correct down conversion obd harness. You're using an obd1 distributor ? How did you run the wiring for the crank sensor that used to be at the crank but is in the distributor for obd1 motors/ecus ?

I just extended the wires from old crank and tdc to the distributor.

I've seen this coolant thing come up a few times before but I never paid much attention to it because I don't have the same gen accord. I think if you searched enough you would find it.

Double check your wiring. Which distributor are you using ?

Pretty sure using a 99 cluster wouldn't solve a thing. I did an h23a swap in my 99 Accord and the coolant gauge stopped working too. Apparently that's a common problem with this swap... I just bought an Autometer gauge and wired it in, and it works perfectly.

The temp thing happened to me and it was because of a bad ground after I did my swap at first it said it had no heat then it said it was on fire (which it wasn't) I ignored it then a few weeks later that bad ground ruined my car so check your grounds plz!
