Default 96 00 civic window fix? unhappy

so i took my drivers side door apart on the 96 hatch and i replaced the glass and all the rubber seals on the whole door... Everything went together perfectly. Well it still does the same thing..when you roll the window UP once it gets 80% of the way close it starts acting stupid again and the back of the glass towards the rear of the car wants to go up and the font wants to stay still which in turn it wants to jump off track.

Whats the secret to owning a 96 00 civic and having fully functional windows?

The only thing i haven't done is grease the tracks..

i replaced the seals and all door rubbers and glass because PO sealed both door windows shut with clear silicone. to make the car door silicone free i replaced the pass side door as a whole and i changed parts on the d/s

Lube those babies! Silicone spray down the channels every so often will solve it. Honda service tech gave me the heads up and I've never had a problem since.

That's a motor/track issue not an issue with glass or seals.
I have no idea how to change the motor since it's behind welded metal

had to replace seals and glass regardless..someone GLUED/SILICONED the windows close and i was unable to open them due to them having 1"+ thick silicone adhesive all over the glass/rubbers/seals and everything.

im lost as to why the glass wants to act up so bad....i will try and lube the tracks today and try that.

I was having the same problem, loosen all the bolts slightly and you should be able to adjust the two on the far left hand side either up or down. I forget which way I adjusted mine, I *think* it was all the way up. You've probably already tried that, but if you haven't, its worth a shot. That and some lube on the track and mine rolls up perfect.

^This.

The holes are slotted for slack in the door frame. loosen the bolts holding the window frame sliders and (if necessary) regulator. adjusting whichever way is needed - snugging down the bolts and testing window up and down until the frame is holding the window evenly across it's full travel without binding.

you could also try rolling up the window with one side of the frame loose - holding it in different places. if it rolls up nicely, tighten down the frame and try to roll the window down very carefully. If nothing binds, your in a sweet spot. if not re-adjust opposite side and try again.

it can be a process getting it in the correct spot

^ there is barely ANY adjustment... i mean i did all of the above and it changed nothing...

If you had an EXTREMEly small amount of adjustment needed it would be ok and would work well but i am off by like 1" so this ain't helping me.

Can you give us a picture of where the window stops and then the tracks and how the glass is mounted?
I could help better if I could see what you're working with here.
