Default 2000 DX Y8 IM Swap

Here is the background of this car:

Car started as a '00 DX Auto Coupe. I swapped the tranny with a 97 JDM Del Sol Si 5-speed, along with manual ECU, cluster, etc.

I want to swap the IM for a Y8 IM. I'm going to replace the ECU at the same time with some type of tunable platform, probably Neptune. I'm aware of the IACV differences between these setups --

Which IM do I need to be looking for? Should I be looking for something from an auto or a manual? What about 99-00 vs. previous model years, and what about the "air holes" that some of these IMs have?

I think I'm looking for a 99-00 Y8 manual IM, but I'm not 100% sure. I think I recall something about an auto Y8 IM being preferable, but I'm not sure.

Thanks.
