d16z6 no spark
5 speed. i can here the pump and injectors workin. im getting no in any of the 4 cylinders.
i read a thread and proceded to remove the distributor cap. i then unbolted the transmission ground from the chassis not the transmission. turned the motor over while holding the ground close to the distributor rotor and that little spring (what is that?) to see if a spark would jump but got nothing. while writting that last sentence i wondered if it would have been more wise to unbolt the ground from the transmission and not from the chassis to do the procedure. if suggested i will do it again. anyway what wires to the distributor should i check for power, continuity, ground ect

Re: d16z6 no spark
You need to remove the rotor screw.
To make the screw accessible, remove the 15A hood ECU fuse and then flick the ignition key to ON(III)/START until the screw is visible.
