Transmission question. 92 dx automatic
This may be a stupid question, but can you get stronger gears for the stock automatic transmission? I want to use my slap shift, but I already messed one up doing that.

You can, but having a reinforced automatic transmission built would easily cost three times what your car is worth. If you want to drive aggressively, get a third pedal.

I would swap it, but it's not up to me right now. My transmission went out, and my dad is replacing it.Is there a stronger automatic transmission I could get?

My parents are replacing my automatic transmission with a new one. I would love to be able to put a 5 speed in, but I can't. Would an EX automatic be better than the DX's? It will bolt on with the old axles and the engine, right? From what I've found out they should. If it's no better I might as well get the same one, though.
