Default What size tires?

I put 17" Enkei evo 8s with 225-45s on them and they look and feel rediculous haha. I m planning on lowering it(should've been lowered by now but BWR is the shittiest company to deal with and they just said ill get them when I get them, they are supposedly held up at customs for 2 months and counting) so what Is the biggest tire I can squeeze in there without rubbing after lowering?? And pics of taller tires on 17s?

Just stepped up from 215/45 on TSX wheels to 225/55 geolanders. They ride a bit more comfortable now on my Ksport coilovers. There's about a 3 finger gap in the front and 2 in the back. Any lower and the front rubs on the liners. I wanted something more comfy since this is my daily and my other car is slammed. Here's a shitty pic.

ive been using 225 45 17 on my track set up the past years.. then shifted to 255 40 17...
you already have the best tire size imo, either daily or a bit of weekend spirited driving, you could
go to 50 series tires if your worried about road "feel" idk if you can back read most of the pics
i posted w/ my V.. theyre almost all have the 225 45 17 combo.. one point i have those evo enkie's
and i like it! offset is almost similar to stock...

Don't mean to thread jack but would a 225 40 18 be too small for a 18x8 rim.!? I don't want a stretch since I wanna still drive aggressive at times... What tire size would you guys recommend ??

Thanks

JDM EDDIE....go with 225/45/18. I run that size tires on my V and love it. I first tried 225/40/18 and the ride was a bit too harsh for me. Plus we have mad POT HOES(holes) here in MN so switching to 45 was a blessing for me.

225 is not a stretch on an 8, its the correct size. i had 225/45/18 on for a day at stock ride height and it looked like crap. lowered i think it would be perfect though, and its really close to the stock tire diameter.

My thoughts were between 225/40/18 225/45/18 235/40/18

I just don't want it to be where I'm taking a quick corner and boom tires off the rim type of thing. Lol

yeah I did a side by side comparison with my rims and my stock tires and they're exactly the same circumference...although obviously the car will sit higher if not dropped due to the tire having smaller sidewalls lol. Glad I could help ya though!

Anybody ran these older Acura CL Wheels before? I'm thinking they might look good on a 1st gen V wouldn't mind seeing a pic of them on there before I get serious.

Whats your wheel width and offset ? How low do you plan on going? Daily driving? Do u have a lot of potholes/ bad roads where u live? . If u dont plan on going full slam 225/45r18 looks great and rides smooth. I can post up a pic if u want . I do a lot of wheels/tire research LOL so just lmk

Rims are 18x8 with 38 offset. I don't plan going too low, how you see it in the pic is pretty much how it's gonna sit. Maybe half an inch shorter, I will be daily driving It but I will also be taking turns aggressive from time to time. As far as potholes dips and bumps I have some of those where I live but really isn't a problem. If you don't mind yea I would like to see a pic. I was close to getting 225 40 18 but sidewall looked too small and don't wanna risk it popping off when a take a turn lol

According to your specs . 225/45r18 would not rub . And it would give you plenty of grip

Here's my 18x9.5's . At the time my wife would also drove my crv and she hit almost every pothole lol but no dents or tire popping Even thou tires had a slight stretch. But in ur case 225/45 on a 18x8 would fit perfect
