Low oil pressure at idle quick ?
B16a turbo I use 10w30 and a Fram or napa filter I need some insight.
If the idle is 1000 I'm under 20 psi. And if its like 500 it's on like 10psi. This is an old auto meter mechanical gauge.
So opinions on If I should use 10w40 and possibly an s2000 filter to raise it? Or w/e because its been like that years now I figure.
Motor is stock. Opinions

Or w/e? And it's been this way for years and it only now occurs to you to do something about it? Ever give a thought that it might be your old tired Autometer gauge?

I bought it used a year ago and checked a year ago so assuming its been like that for a while. Gauge works fine from what I see

Try replacing the sender unit before you do anything.
Also, does the oil light go straight off when you start the car ? Or are you waiting a fair few seconds longer than your avarage B16/18 ?

Good stuff. This is a mechanical gauge with a braided hose oil comes right off the sandwich to it. Never ever see the oil light on running
