lsd tranny questions.
so trying to put together a tranny for this summer this is what i have ls,gsr, cable b16, type r lsd tranny. so my type r tranny has a broken counter shaft and the final drive gear is chiped. i open my b16 tranny before reading thinking that the final drive and counter shaft would swap over with the type r gears and b16 final drive and counter shaft. quickly i find out the final drive gear is to small. so here i am to find out the best way i can get a good tranny for this summer. will my gsr ring gear bolt up to the lsd, can i use the gsr counter shaft with the type r gearing..... any help would be awesome!!!

Re: lsd tranny questions.
GSR and type R have the same diff ring gear size, they are a swap you are correct. Only swap matched ring and pinion sets if possible so you wont have any howl or wear pattern issues.
You can swap the Type R gear set from the counter shaft to the GSR counter shaft if you use the GSR ring gear. Main shaft will be ITR so leave that unless it needs any parts. You should be good. If you are putting the LSD into the GSR case you need the offset diff bearings on that LSD to replace the tapered GSR bearings.
hope this helps
