Ef 9 spoon sports rad , fan won't engage and top rad hose gets hard and full of air
Hi I need help desperately my civic last night blew its top rad hose in half :/ I changed it fairly quickly , I bled the rad waited for all the bubbles to stop then my top rad hose started to get full with air and really hard , only way it would get soft was if I undid the rad cap :/ it would keep doing the same thing every 5 minutes , and now this morning I have a leak when I squeeze the top hose right where it goes into the head , that big Aluminum Peace starts to leak Thank you any news would help me in my search for the problem

Also, if you have a leak when you squeeze the top radiator hose, that means that you are still loosing coolant and you would also result in "air in top radiator hose." Sounds like you need to replace that gasket to the "aluminum piece" (do you mean the thermostat housing?).

Thanks ill check that out but I was bleeding it for about half and hour :s and no it's the top one that goes into the head not the bottom one , the bottom one doesn't get hot after running for half an hour

I was half asleep last night, but after re-reading your title, I see that you mentioned the fan doesn't come on.
I'd suggest:
1)fix the leak and try to get all the air out by heating to operating temp and refilling several times.
2)check the Coolant Temp sensor (which partially controls the fan)
3)check the fan relay
4)by now you will know if your fan's wiring is working correctly....
5)if the fan's wiring is working perfectly but the fan doesn't come on, then I would check the thermostat....a closed thermostat might prevent the overheating water from reaching the CTS, which means the fan never comes on and the water gets hotter and hotter (??)...I forget exactly where the thermostat is located in the water flow...just a thought...
6) Is the water pump pumping

The thermostat was seased but would that cause my hoses to get hard and bulge ? Like I took it out and just put the gasket back in and the hoses still get hard :s

The hoses could be running 12psi or so depending on the temperature rating you have, it's usual for them to get hard. Leave the radiator cap off and let the car get to operating temperature. Continue adding coolant until after the cooling fans begin cycling.
