Brake issue
Brake problem on my 93 civic ex sedan (disc all around) the pedal when pressed slowly/fastly drops to the floor when held (sometimes fast sometimes slow) when I got it inspected I was told the R/R caliper was seeping brake fluid (piston seal was bad) I replaced the caliper bled all the brakes yet its still doing it, my buddy said I need a brake booster, but wouldnt the pedal become hard to press not fall to the floor? The idle jumps when the pedal is pressed and I dont seem to ever loose any brake fluid. Any help would be appreciated I dont want to aimlessly throw money in to it till it gets fixed, thanks

the ignition over. The pedal should become rock hard. Then, w/ your
foot on the pedal, turn over the ignition. The pedal should yield if
the booster is working properly.
OTOH, the MASTER CYLINDER can leak internally as fluid seeps past
the seals. It does not have to involve an external leak, eg, one you
can see. If the master cylinder is faulty, one indication can be
observed at a stop light: while holding the pedal at what appears
to be normal height, the pedal begins to sink to the floor.

Re: Brake issue
I guess the idle all retarded when I hit the brakes so im assuming the booster is bad aswell, but if im wrong sweet saves me 20$ and a trip to the scrap yard for one

It explains why the MC can leak and not be evident externally.

Re: Brake issue
Well my car has abs (didnt know, locked brakes up before and no sign so assumed i didnt) and i got a brand new non abs mc and booster from local scrap yard (seriously look brand new) and was wondering can i jus slap it in there and be okay or no? And if my abs was bypassed could it still be hooked to the module and just unplugged?
