Manual window handle problem

Manual window handle problem
Ok so the handle for my manual window fell off. Come to find out it was put on there with some kind of sealant. I guess who ever knocked it off the first time loss the horseshoe looking pin to keep it in place. Now my problem is the handle fell off again and this time the sealant is covering the metal tip to where the window handle/crank slides on.
My question is what is the best way to remove that sealant? Will I have to get a new tip for that part? I thought the tip piece comes with a new manual window crank but come to find out it doesn't.
I just either need a new piece to where the window crank will fit on or something to remove the sealant so I can put the handle on again the proper way

Re: Manual window handle problem
It can be scraped off but im scared that I mite damage the regulator on the inside so I'm wondering is there some kinda stuff I can spray to break it apart. Like the spray you put on a bolt that just wont loosen up

Re: Manual window handle problem
sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words...
I have jb welded my window crank handle because the previous owner had stripped the grooves/notches...
you can file off/chip off the old weld and just re-jb weld it...or you can buy a new regulator...which is what I might do since my window is such a pain to wind up and down
