Default GC perch issue.. need help

Hello,

Im just getting pissed off from my GC kit.

Either the perches are defective or I am misunderstanding the installing procedure.

Once setting the required position of the perch on the sleeve, then i should tighten the screw so that the perch does not rotate on the sleeve.

This is what i am doing before asseblming the kit.

Simply the sleeves and perch in hands.

So what is going wrong that the perch is not tightening knowing that the scew is very well tightened!!!

Has anybody faced such issue??

so you have the screw in the collar tight while you are trying to turn it to adjust your ride height?

you should loosen that screw a little when you go to turn the collar, that screw clamps the collar in place so it doesnt unthread and change your ride height as you go down the road

IF that's true then you have a defective collar more than likely. No need to keep creating new threads about the same issue. Contact Ground Control.

Are you sure they are real GC sleeves? Where did you buy them?

Are you tightening the screw all the way on all four perches? I never had this problem.

From that pic...looks like the collar can still be tightened more.

Exactly. I tighten those bad boys until the bolt starts squeaking.

Damnn it was just a matter of extra tightening, but I was worried about breaking the screw coz I read somewhere not to over tighten it.

anyway its fixed now

Next will be installation

thanks

You actually don't need to bother "tightening" the screw that much. The vehicle weight will prevent the seat from spinning. If you over torque that little screw, you're going to have a heck of a time trying to loosen it later to make adjustments.

it even says in the paper instruction, don't over tighten, just till it's snug.

I think that's what scared him from tightening it further, the "over-tightening" part of the instructions. Kinda understandable.
