Default Recommend me to a machine shop..

This picture attached is the cylinder head off of my 98 spec jdm itr engine. I done some searching and came up with RLZ a lot, but I would like to know who you all have personal experience with and someone with reasonable prices to fix this head for me.

I'm looking to get it back to stock form and wondering how much something like this would cost to get it fixed?

Is that melted and chewed up at the same time? You should get some feedback in the regional forums as well.

ouch. you could probably find another head for a lot cheaper than what it would cost to fix that.

That's what I was thinking. I'd like to maybe try and get an idea of how much it would cost. I need everything.. complete head

RLZ, 4Piston, Jim Justice.

Id contact them and see if they have anyone to contact as well. But if those guys wont fix it, I do not know who would. Personally, there's a lot of time involved in that which will turn into a large expense. Unless you are just tied to that head for some reason, i would get another head. Easier, faster.

I appreciate it guys.. I'm not tied to the head, just was curious how much it might cost. It's looking like it's not going to be worth the price, time and or hassle, but the cams are ok. I was originally just going to fix this engine and put it back to stock form, but I recently purchased a go autoworks turbo setup and I'm going to lower the compression in this engine and turbo it.

I still have my N/A 97 spec jdm itr engine though. Not going to turn this into classifieds thread, but if any of you guys have a type R head laying around.. I am in need

Also one other question... In an engine that has already had an issue (dropped valve) would you all trust to reuse the intake/exhaust valve springs or don't trust any of that at all?

On the cylinder thats damaged, i would have the seat pressure tested and inspected for damage. Other than that, i dont see why not.

Was there previous work done to the head? If the head has already been worked and ported...finding out how much to fix it would not hurt.
