Side timing marks won't fully line up. B18C1
Installed my new timing belt but the marks on the side of the cam gears don't fully line up. I spent a good 2 hours trying to align them the crank is set at TDC there is enough slack on the belt and the car starts and runs fine. Vtec hits also the head was milled at some point but i don't think it was enough to affect the timing. The pic is not mine but that's the amout of "offset" between the gears:

Has block been decked, along with a milled head it would not take a lot for the cams gears not to line up.
What HG did you use?
If everything is working, don't try and fix it.
A set of adjustble timing gears would allow you to "tweek" the valve timing if you think you have a problem. 94

Yes, a small amount of head mill is all it takes to throw off these marks. Mine is shaved .010 so I would know. All it takes is roughly .008 off head alone, not including deck for 1 degree diff. Buy adj gears asap to re-zero cams. Its prob running sluggish w/o them
Edit: approximately 2 degree cam timing diff every .008 taken off head-
