00 Civic/GSR swap - Help Understanding CELs after leaving dealership
After leaving the dealer this morning, I had them give me a list of my CELs so I can go ahead and address them before going forward with my project.
Before you guys start saying search the thread, I have done that and I have information about the codes, but I don't really understand it.
The code specifically I am looking for information about is P1337. I see it says " Crankshaft Speed Fluxuation Sensor - CKF Sensor - CKF Sensor Circuit - ECM/PCM.
Now I know that this is related to the crank, but I need more information. Also, I cant find the part number for this " sensor " if this is what is needed to fix it.
The other is P1259 which is VTec Solenoid Valve/VTec Pressure Switch. Im looking for the part number for the Solenoid now, I don't know if the pressure switch is all in the same thing or not.

Re: Help Understanding CELs after leaving dealership
those two sensors are not on jdm motors so if it has been swapped you won't have them . you can add the vtec oil pressure switch it goes on the vtec solenoid housing and there is a wiring trick for the crank flux sensor. (it's mounted on the oil pump housing behind the crank pulley) http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/ckftrick.htm

Are you sure it is a b16a2 or is it a b16a swap?

I'm going to replace the Vtec solenoid and pressure switch to take care of one issue... I was told that going to an OBD1 chipped ecu will eliminate some of the other codes in which I was throwing, ( O2 senors, Crank possibly and Idle )

a crank fluctuation sensor code (ckf) has nothing to do with your driveability.
which o2 sensor code are you throwing?
which o2 sensor code are you throwing?

Re: 00 Civic/GSR swap - Help Understanding CELs after leaving dealership
Update:
I took my car to the shop, and they pulled the codes again, and then erased them all to see which were hard codes. The Vtec related code did not return, only the O2 sensors 1 and 2, and the crank position sensor related codes. He checked my vtec pressure switch and it worked he said, but when I drive the car I still can not hear vtec engage. I'm starting to just assume that this is due to the cams that I have, and its just not the type of crossover that I want. There really cant seem to be any other issue... unless there is an internal issue inside my head itself ( just a random guess )
