Default 95 accord ex alternator help??

I just got my 95 accord and the alternator was not recharging the battery while running. I have a battery and alternator tester so I did that and the battery was good and alternator had very very low output. I got a new alternator from oreillys and had them test it and it works on their machine. I got it home and put it on the car. It still doesn't work, I replaced the plug that has the 4 wires connected to it that plugs in the side and checked fuses for any that are blown, but I don't have the main fuse box cover for under the hood to know which fuse would be for the alternator so if anyone has a pic for a 95 that would help a lot. The alternator also had a wire going from the 10mm bolts where the ground wire is on there and was ran up through the cab and up under the dash but was not connected to anything and was taped off, if anyone knows what this may be for please let me know.

The regulator could be bad. Auto parts stores don't test that.
What kind of "tester" do you have? A multimeter is all you need.

Why did you replace the alternator connector plug ?

The bigger gauge wire that goes to the outside of the alternator that is connected with a 10mm size nut is the power wire. It runs to the fuse box and from the fuse box goes to the battery.

I just have a tester that I hook to the batery and it shows the output of the alternator and battery. And I replaced the plug to the alternator because the clip that holds the plug in was burned off and wouldn't stay in the alternator. There's a wire connected where the "power" for the alternator is connected with the 10mm bolts on the front of the alternator but it just goes inside the car and under the dash but is not connected. Just trying to get this fixed soon to get the car legal. Do you have any pics of a fuse cover of a 95 accord so I can see which fuse would be for the alternator? I'm thinking there's a blown fuse somewhere

It's an 80A fuse it should say ALT

If the power lead to the alternator isn't connected it has no way of charging the battery. But if it's going to the dash then either that's not the power lead, perhaps it's the ground circuit they trying tried running to the dashboard light. Something doesn't seem right about that wire.

Did the cruise stop working?

On the 95 there is the #4 underdash fuse (controls a few other things, hence the first question) that goes to the alt.....

Me, if there are two wires coming off the charging post of the alt...one back to the under hood fuse box and the other inside the car to "nothing", I'd remove the one that goes to "nothing" inside the car.

I removed the wire going inside the car connected to nothing and put a different battery thinking that may have been the problem. My tester shows the alt is charging at full output but then when the electric fan kicks on, the side marker and turn signal light on the passenger side comes on and stays solid until the fan kicks back off. While the fan and lights kick on, the alt kicks off and stops charging the battery until the fan kicks back off. If I remove the relay that shuts the turn signals off it also kills the fan too the the alt works again. Do I have a short in the wiring or could the fan possibly be wired wrong and be wired through the passenger lights? Any help would be much appreciated
