I have a 2004 civic dx 2 dr. Recently my battery failed so i got a new one and my bro accidently place the negative on the positive which blew the battery fuse. I got that replaced however, now my A/c isnt blowing any air period. Prior to the battery incident, it was working fine (hot and cold). I took it to a mechanic who told me that the A/c control unit needed to be replaced. I just want to know if anyone else had the same problem and did changing the A/c control fixed the problem. By control I mean the A/c switch.
Details
1 The A/c light still comes on when i turn the switch on
2 The compressor is no longer spinning at all (New compressor about 1 - months old)
3 The lines are still full with freon
4 A/c Fan is still working just not staying on
5 When turning on the a/c switch, some times the fan engages and the a/c blows but just for about 2-3 seconds (And i mean only sometimes, like 1 out of 15)
6 A/c fuses are good
Any suggestions, I just dont want to have to buy this part, change it and it turns out to be something else.
Just additional info, the battery thing also (I think) made my alarm go bananas. It works only sometimes now (weird). 1 day it wont come on, the next day it rings and i have to disarm it by using the key in the ignition then pressing the red button under the dash and not the button on the key itself, and just today it worked liked it never had any problems.

Try another multiplex box, and see if still the same happens.
