97 Civic - stone dead, no lights work but starts with jumper cables
Yes my gf's 97 Civic has been having a problem as of today. I was hoping I could get some advice for it!
We go to start it; stone dead. no lights come on, nothing. Set up the jumper cables with another car, starts immediately. no dim lights, no weak battery, no cranking just starts. At the same time, our SRS light is now on.
We drive home, try to crank it, dead again. its not even trying, no noise at all.
I don't think it's the battery because it does not seem low on juice. I don't think its the alternator because there is no battery light and, again, the lights don't seem weak. Because it seems weird and the SRS light is now illuminated, I'm leaning towards a short or something.
Let me know if there is any experience in a similar situation! Thanks!

Re: PLEASE HELP! 97 Civic electrical problems
Batteries can flat out die. Try replacing it first. Pull the SRS code (how-to in the stickies), then reset the ECU and see if the code comes back.
