Default 5x114 and 5x112

Need some help my fellow jdm, i know its totally different but some says it will work some say not that 5x114 bolt will fit 5x112 rims... Any body done this...

no. it may physically fit, but rims are tapered and you use tapered lug nuts to help center the rims and hold them in place. if they are offset 2 mm, it MIGHT fit, but then the taper will be off and you'll destroy the lug and the rim. ive heard of wobbly lugs before, where you replace your lugs with lugs that move around a bit, not sure how much i trust those. I wish VW used a normal bolt pattern, because i love the newer GTI wheels.
