Too much oil??? Engine Damage?
I let my friend borrow my EG w/ b16a. It was leaking oil so he thought the best solution was to dump an additional 3 quarts of oil so it was about 7 quarts total. Smoke started coming out of the exhaust. He drained it back to normal but smoke is still coming out and the engine bogs. I suspect he's blown a valve or spark plug.
Can someone explain the problem? Is there permanent damage? Should he still drive the car around?

If the exhaust or PCV system got loaded up with oil, it may take time to burn it out. Drive conservatively for awhile and see if it goes away.
